                                                CHEMICAL FAMILIES

In Bob Harris's chemical profiles he states that a common

adulterant of peppermint oil is the oil derived from cornmint.

The best indicator of this adulteration is the concentration of isopulogol.

It is present in peppermint at about 0.07%,

and it is in cornmint at about 1.22-2.02%.Our peppermint

GC shows a 37% Menthol content. Menthol

acts as an strong antispasmodic and carminative.

                                                    SAFETY DATA

may antidote homeopathic remedies. nontoxic,

though it may cause skin irritation.

Use in low dilution (!%) when applying to the skin in a massage oil.

Avoid using peppermint with children under 2 years;

it's too strong. May be more therapeutically effective in small doses.

I don't recommend adding it to a full body bath since

it can easily be skin irritating, causing a burning

sensation and reddening of your skin.
